The Home and Community Services – Adult Mental Health program is designed to support long-term recovery from mental illness.
It is administered by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. HCBS-AMH offers participants a broad array of services, including residential, mental health, transportation, nursing, substance use, adaptive aids, peer support, employment, and more.
Best of all, the program is person-centered: participants choose where to live, what services to receive, and what goals to pursue. They also choose their “Recovery Manager.”
